Benjamin J. Kallos, Esq

Ben KallosBenjamin Kallos, most recently served in President Biden's White House and previously served as a New York City Council Member representing Manhattan's Upper East Side.  

As Council Member, Ben authored 60-laws including the full public matching campaign finance system and the new affordable housing system where you can sign up at housingconnect.nyc.gov. Over his time in the Council, Ben chaired Committees responsible for overseeing $17 billion in city contracts, the Board of Elections, and development of affordable housing on city-owned land. Ben also sponsored laws expanding human rights, fought for unions, and authored the law to create a new private-sector retirement program, and led rezonings throughout Manhattan. 

Most recently, in the White House, Ben sought to dismantle systems of racism perpetuated by the federal government by leading cross-agency data sharing initiatives to make it easier for residents to access human service benefits. In his free time Ben likes taking his daughter swimming at the beach in summer, hiking in the fall, or visiting every museum in the city. Learn more about Ben's legal background.

Taylor Benell

Taylor BenellTaylor brings over 10 years of experience in politics and government, and an expertise in compliance with the New York City Campaign Finance Board rules and regulations.  She was the Director of Operations and Treasurer on Ben Kallos' campaign for Manhattan Borough President where she helped the campaign fundraise and receive over $1.4 million in public matching funds, correct invalid matching claims, and navigate their post-election audit process. Taylor served as Council Member Ben Kallos' Deputy Chief of Staff where she helped lead initiatives such as the East Side Taskforce for Homeless Outreach and Services, planned highly successful community events, and managed employees and interns. When she's not working, Taylor loves to read, try new restaurants and travel with her husband and three sons.
